For over three decades, BledCom has been more than just a symposium. It has been a unique sanctuary for dialogue where the world’s leading communication researchers and practitioners meet to navigate the complexities of our field. Today, we are honored to celebrate a major milestone in this journey: the 5th Anniversary of the International Declaration of Communications Professionals and Researchers presented by INTERDECOM.

A Shared Vision for a Better World


Launched in 2021 during a time of global upheaval, the Declaration was a call to action for the communication community to take responsibility for a healthier, more viable world. As a long-standing partner, BledCom’s mission has always resonated with these core values, bridging the gap between academic rigor and professional practice to foster ethical, responsible, and impactful communication.


In a world currently facing profound transformations from the rise of AI to the challenges of global health and climate crises, the need for a unified, ethical voice in communication has never been more urgent.


BledCom in the Anniversary Album


To mark this five-year journey, INTERDECOM has released a commemorative Anniversary Album, a visual chronicle of global mobilization. We are proud to share that BledCom’s role is highlighted on pages 28–29 and 37–39, recognizing our commitment as a forum for critical reflection.

As we prepare to kick off the 33rd International Public Relations Research Symposium this week, the newly released Global Peace Index has ranked Slovenia as the 4th SAFEST country in the entire world! In a time of rising global complexities, Slovenia has officially entered the top 5 for the first time, celebrated for its exceptional personal safety, high community trust, and a restorative work-life balance seamlessly connected to nature. This milestone could not be more relevant to our central theme this year: “Disaster, Health, and Organizational Crisis Communication.” As communication scholars and practitioners, we are gathering to discuss resilience and trust in times of crisis and we are doing it from one of the most stable, peaceful havens on the planet. 27th EUPRERA Congress submission deadline is March 15

The 27th Annual Congress will be hosted by the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising at the Faculty of Communications Sciences of University of Malaga in the city of Malaga, on the Costa del Sol of Andalusia, Spain, between 16 and 19 September 2026. The theme of the Congress is “Regenerating public relations and strategic communication in the face of the new global order: are we ready for this challenge?”
