About Bled

Bled lies in the extreme north-western part of Slovenia, at the foot of the Julian Alps and between the Sava Bohinjka and Sava Dolinka rivers. As one of the “pearls of Slovenia”, Bled is renowned for its immense natural beauty, mild, healing climate and thermal lake water. Bled attracts businessmen, artists, athletes, explorers, sport enthusiasts, from all over the world, and it has also been the home of BledCom symposium since its beginning in 1994. Travelling to Bled

By car – your personal car, rent a car or taxi

You can best get to know a country if you visit it by car. Slovenia’s highways are good and clearly signposted. But just in case we offer you a useful link

By train

The Lesce-Bled railway station is located approximately 4 km from the centre of Bled. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Bled by local bus or you can hire a taxi.

The nearest railway station is Bled-Jezero, right above the Bled lake (2,6 km from Bled), however there is no organised transport to Bled center. If you are travelling by train, we suggest you choose the Lesce-Bled railway station.

• From Ljubljana
  The easiest way to reach the Lesce-Bled railway station is to departure from Ljubljana main railway station. Trains leave several times a day. For an exact timetable, please visit the Slovenian Railways website.
  
  
• From Ljubljana Airport
  There is no direct railway connection between Ljubljana Airport and Bled.
  
  

By airplane

The nearest international airport is Brnik, situated 36 km from Bled. Ljubljana flights information.

By bus

Bus station at Bled is located in the centre of the town, north of the main tourist street. It is in a walking distance of several hotels.

• From Ljubljana
  The easiest way to travel from Ljubljana to Bled by bus is to departure from the main bus station in Ljubljana (Ljubljana Avtobusna postaja). Buses leave several times per day and take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes to get to Bled. For an exact timetable, please visit Bus station Ljubljana webpage.
  
  
• From Ljubljana Airport
  There is no direct bus connection between Ljubljana Airport and Bled. For information regarding private bus transportation, we suggest you contact:
