Panels on fads, MPR, CSR and relationships
As you already know, the leading theme of the 15th BledCom Symposium is Public Relations and Marketing: A Relationship for Re-examination? Public Relations Among the Functions of Management.
Experts in public relations and marketing will present and discuss their views in different formats. One of the novelties of this year’s programme are panels, which will be chaired by four public relations and marketing experts. Dejan Verčič will chair a panel on Fads in marketing and public relations, Mark Weiner on marketing PR, Krishnamurthy Sriramesh on Social marketing and non-profit public relations and James Grunig on Relationships in public relations and marketing. Panels’ subjects and the names of the panelists promise very interesting and practical debates.
With established experts and practitioners participating at the discussions, BledCom will offer an insight into contemporary practices and questions they may raise.
Anne Lise Kjaer on future trends
Keynote speaker at the 15th BledCom will be the leading global futurist Anne Lise Kjaer, a popular and hugely charismatic speaker – with regular conference and lecture engagements throughout Europe, Scandinavia and North America. Her audiences range from today’s leading executives to tomorrow’s brand developers.
Anne Lise Kjaer is known for her insights into every area of future – from food to fashion, cars and electronics to the next big thing in retail. BledCom book presentation: Public Relations Metrics
A part of this year programme will also be the presentation of an upcoming book Public Relations Metrics: Research and Evaluation. The authors themselves – Betteke van Ruler, Ana Tkalac Verčič and Dejan Verčič – will present the book that presents the current state of knowledge in public relations measurement and evaluation and brings together ideas and methods that can be used throughout the world.
BledCom 2008 Registration and Accommodation
The 15th BledCom will take place on 4th and 5th July at Bled, Slovenia. You can register for either one or two days. We offer a special discount for EUPRERA members, PRSS members and students for two-day registration fee. We kindly invite you to take care of your accommodation in Bled soon to make sure that you are as close to the symposium as possible. BledCom 2008 symposium will take place in Golf Hotel Bled, so the best choice for accommodation is the Golf Hotel Bled itself, Apartments Golf Bled or nearby facilities. Call for Papers for BledCom 2009
Although BledCom 2008 is still two months away, we have already started our preparations for BledCom 2009. The leading theme is already known and the Call for Papers already out!
The leading theme for Bledcom 2009, which will be held on 3rd and 4th July 2009, is Culture and Public Relations. We see at least three broad areas of analyzing the linkage between culture and public relations from which many subthemes can be developed for further analysis and research. First, culture is an antecedent and environment for public relations practice, second, public relations itself can be viewed as a culture and finally, one can also assess the impact of public relations on societal and corporate culture.
