Farewell to culture, here comes government communication
BledCom 2009 has finished. The event, traditionally organized by the Pristop agency joined nearly 100 experts in the field of public relations discussing the relationship between culture and public relations. The symposium was marked by lively debates on cultural influences on PR, as well as keynote speakers, all working and creating in the field of culture: one of the leading European poets and essayist Aleš Debeljak, member of The Irwin group Borut Vogelnik and renowned architect Vasa J. Perović.
The symposium once more hosted some of the leading PR experts, discussing culture as an antecedent and an environment for public relations practice; public relations as a culture; and impact of public relations on societal and corporate culture.
For the first time at BledCom, the Institute for Public Relations presented the Institute for Public Relations BledCom Special Prize for the best new research. Dr. Holger Sievert and Stefan Porter, associates at komm.passion GmbH, were awarded for their paper entitled “An Expanded View From the Corner Office – Further Discussions and Research on the Global Navigation of International Corporate Communications.”
Papers presented at BledCom 2009 and Power Point presentations used at the symposium are already available at BledCom’s Knowledge section http://www.bledcom.com/home/knowledge and in BledCom Gallery you can have a look at what this year’s symposium looked like.
