About BledCom

Global Public Relations Symposium

The primary mission of the BledCom symposium that has been organized over the past 14 years is to provide a venue for public relations scholars and practitioners from around the world to exchange ideas and perspectives about public relations in all its forms such as corporate communication, public affairs, reputation management, issues and crisis management, etc. Building from this history, BledCom seeks to help establish a state-of-the-art body of knowledge of the field with each annual symposium attempting to widen the horizons of the field by attracting current perspectives, public relations research and related disciplines as well.

Each year participants are invited to submit papers related to the main theme, which are then evaluated by the organizing committee. Authors of the best papers are invited to participate at the symposium to present their papers and share their knowledge with an international audience at the symposium.

The leading theme of BledCom 2008 is Public Relations and Marketing: A Relationship for Re-examination? Public Relations Among the Functions of Management.

The 2008 BledCom meeting will re-examine the relationship between public relations and marketing, and reconsider the place of public relations alongside other management functions.

The leading theme of BledCom 2009 is also already known and BledCom 2009 Call for papers is already out. Find out more in the Call for papers section .
