Tradition with a modern fine-dining twist

The price of a 3-course conference dinner with a complimentary glass of wine is 45 EUR (22% VAT included). BledCom 2017 will feature three dinners in three different locations. Dinner on Thursday, June 29 will take place in Restaurant 1906, Bled, dinner on Friday, June 30 in Vila Podvin, Radovljica and dinner on Saturday, July 1 in Gostilna Krištof, Predoselje (near Kranj).

Dinner on Thursday, June 29, 2017, will be in Restaurant 1906 Bled, overlooking crystal clear lake waters and Bled Island. Restaurant 1906 Bled presents a leading force in the town’s culinary experiences, reviving traditional dishes with modern culinary ideas. Chef Viktor Gros and his culinary team create surprising combinations of flavours, fresh and tasty, with a hint of Mediterranean and French cuisine. The food is accompanied by specially selected Slovenian wines from their own cellar.

Dinner on Friday, June 30, 2017, will take place in Vila Podvin, a part of the Podvin estate, first mentioned in documents in the 14th century. Vila Podvin was altered from stable for horses into a restaurant with rooms in 1968. Today, it has a reputation of an excellent restaurant. Chef Uroš Štefelin keeps in touch with tradition by using local ingredients when preparing traditional dishes that have nearly slipped into oblivion. Vila Podvin values tradition, love of home, quality of the used ingredients, and care for a healthier future.

Dinner on Saturday, July 1, 2017, will take place in Gostilna Krištof, family restaurant oriented mainly in the modern culinary ideas that are based on the intertwining of Slovenian tradition and world gourmet novelties. Overall philosophy of Krištof Bolka and his family is based on fresh seasonal ingredients (at least 4 new menus per year, current weekly menus ....) in combination with a wide selection of domestic and international wine labels.
